In the early 2000’s, the world has been stunned with the release of the first installment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy in film. The movie was inspired from the novels that J. R. R. Tolkien wrote sometime in the late 30’s and late 40’s. With the success of all three of the film versions, people have gone gaga over lord of the rings action figures.
Every single character that we have loved and perhaps hated the persona are presented in the countless lord of the rings action figures that have become widely available. One of the most popular would be of Frodo Baggins, the hobbit who bears the responsibility of carrying the ring to Mordor. Gandalf the wizard is one of the key characters who have served as their guiding force throughout the quest. He began as Gandalf the Grey who was befell in the Fellowship of the Rings. He did not technically die as it only served as his transition in to Gandalf the White when he returned in Two Towers.
Other characters of significance are Legolas the Elven prince, Sméagol/Gollum once a hobbit who turned in to a wretched creature after the ring took over him, Gimli the dwarf and Aragorn a human. These are among the most common and most popular characters in the title that people have been drawn to love and appreciate for their intentions to have the ring brought to destruction.
On the other hand, you would also be able to find lord of the rings action figures inspired from the villains in the story. These include Sauron, also referred to as the Dark Lord who forged the Orc ring, Saruman the evil Wizard, The Witch-King of Angmar and the Orcs among others. The story would not be as exciting or as interesting if it were not messed with these powerful antagonists.
These action figures are widely available in individual pieces or in sets. It also comes with accessories and full gear that these characters have been known for. Some of these are still figures while others have movable parts of the body that can be positioned to a certain stance.
